Supermodel Elle MacPherson has got engaged to hotel heir Jeffrey Soffer.  The couple dated for two years before breaking up last March, but they got back together after Soffer injured his vertebrae in a November helicopter crash.  Nothing like a near-tragedy to bring folk together!  MacPherson plans to move to Florida to be with her fiance.  This will be the second marriage for the model.

Clint Eastwood’s daughter, Alison, has married sculptor and “Chainsaw Gang” star Stacy Poitras.  The intimate ceremony took place at Saddlepeak Lodge and, according to rumours, the bride wore a 1930s-inspired beaded gown by Les Habitudes.  Afterwards, the guests dined on a menu that included salmon and elk, with a vegetarian meal for the bride.  The couple met five years ago when she rode her horse to his studio at the Rustic Canyon General Store and Grill in Agoura.

And finally – one for us 80’s kids – hearthrob Christian Slater has become engaged to his girlfriend of three years Brittany Lopez.  The actor confirmed the news during an appearance on the February 27 episode of “Late Night With Jimmy Fallon.”  Slater met Lopez in 2009 at Little Palm Island Resort near Miami.  He mistook her for a lesbian when he saw her get down on one knee and make a joke proposal to her aunt!
The two started dating soon after.  Slater was previously married to Ryan Haddon, with whom he has two kids, Jaden, 13, and Eliana, 11.

So that’s all for today, a few thank you cards for Alison to get cracking on, and Elle and Christian need to get going on their save the dates and wedding order or service cards.  We’re here if you need us!
