Wedding Colour Trends – Spring 2014

With Spring only a stone’s throw away we are already starting to think about a fresh colour palette to fit with the warmer spring weather. Spring is a lovely time of year to tie the knot and the colour palette for 2014 will definitely compliment this season well. Soft pastels teamed up with vivid brights is what it’s all about, with the softer colours like placid blue, violet tulip, hemlock, Paloma and sand being from the more subtle side of the colour palette and bright freesia, warm cayenne, celosia orange, radiant orchid and dazzling blue from the more vibrant side.

Here I have put together a range of invitations from Tree of Hearts that are bang on trend for 2014. Starting with Dancing Butterflies Wedding Invitation which is shown in pastel green, violet and placid blue  – this invitation would complement a  spring wedding really well and with personalised invitations starting from £1.20 they will no doubt be bang on budget too!

Moving on to Vintage Pink Peony Wedding Invitation which is a new addition for 2014. This rustic invite is adaptable and works particularly well with spring and summer weddings. It contains sand tones in the background and soft pinks and brighter cayenne tones on the flower, creating a wonderful contrast of colours  – once again it is one of 2014 must haves.

Top right we have Birds in Love Wedding Invitation. This has been designed using citrus colours –  bright yellow, zesty orange and gorgeous green to give it a fresh spring like feel. This design is shown in all black on Tree of Hearts so to show you how a design can be adapted and transformed to fit with your colour scheme I have added this one as an example.  (Most designs can be changed to any of the colours off the Tree of Hearts bespoke colour palette, see website for details).

Bottom left we have the gorgeous Grace Wedding Invitation. This is a really elegant design consisting of an arrangement of floating feathers down the left hand side and personalised wording to the right. Here it is shown in mint green which I think you’ll agree works really well with this design.

Next we have Floral Pattern Wedding Invitation. This is a versatile design that compliments light, bright and dark colours. Here it is displayed in coral which is a new colour that we will be introducing to our colour palette (please ask for details).

Finally we have Vintage Lace Wedding Invitation. This popular design is shown in a neutral mocha colour on the website but here it has been changed to bright yellow (daffodil – colour palette name) which I am sure you will agree will brighten up any wedding day, rain or shine. See the matching table stationery available in this design, perfect for adding a splash of colour to your wedding tables.
